灣谷有一群認真負責的助教小哥哥，助教小姊姊。
他們比小朋友早到學校，等小朋友都安全離開校園之後，他們才回家。

他們輔助老師，照顧學生；輔導學生課業，保護學生安全。
休假期間，他們犧牲假期，千里迢迢驅車南下，到金山灣區僑教中心，為小朋友搬回八大箱課本和作業本。

這群默默付出的高中生，是灣谷中文學校的寶貝小天使。

Volunteerism, an altruistic gesture, is the rendering of one's time and labor for the benefit of other people in the wider community without expecting anything in return.
Volunteerism, a basic expression of human relationships, denotes one's sense of social responsibility with the hope of making a positive impact on the world and promoting the well-being of its citizens.

Bay Valley Chinese School is very fortunate to have recruited a group of sincere and responsible volunteers who serve as our teaching assistants. These dedicated high school students are willing to arrive at school earlier than our students and to return home only after all students are safely dismissed.

Deemed as the unequivocal second teacher in the classroom, they assist teachers by providing learning support, taking care of students’ basic needs, tutoring their homework, and ensuring their safety at school.
Holidays do not disrupt their offering of service. Instead of spending the weekend in leisure and recreation, our teaching assistants traveled all the way to the Taiwan Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Milpitas and transported eight heavy boxes of textbooks and exercise books back for our students.

This group of teaching assistants is our unsung heroes, the backbone of Bay Valley Chinese School.

這個星期六就是中秋節了，祝福大家中秋節快樂，花好月圓人團圓。 This upcoming Saturday is going to be the Mid-Autumn Festival. Wish you all enjoy your mooncakes and family gatherings.

這幾天，灣區氣溫飆破華氏一百度！天氣好熱啊！小朋友記得多喝水，帶水到校上課！ An excessive heat advisory has been issued. Please remind your children to drink enough water.

安全小叮嚀： 接送孩子，車輛請慢行；入夜後，夜色昏暗，孩童千萬不可自己過馬路。 Safety Reminder: Please slow down your vehicle when dropping off and picking up your children! It is especially important when it gets dark, and visibility is low. Please remind your children not to cross the street by themselves.

1. In search of Monthly Yard Duty Leads! 徵求月度保安輪值召集人!
   This is one of the most rewarding jobs you can have at BVCS. Be an integral part of the school by enforcing safety for all the kids & adults. Shift-leader's responsibility is to coordinate, manage, & lead all facets of security for 1 month out of the year. We desperately need you to consider this position.

5. Campus Safety
   In order to ensure a safe environment conducive to learning, our yard-duties will enforce the following rules:
   1. Students are prohibited from climbing, running, or causing disruptions on the campus.
   2. Visitors who are not an immediate relative of students must check in with the yard-duty at the front gate and record on the "visitors book" their name, signature, the purpose of their visit, and the date and time of their arrival and departure.
   Parents, students, and teachers are asked to be cooperative and be vigilant on these aspects.
   
   
6. Food Allergies Alert
   Due to the concern about life threatening allergies to nuts. Please do not send nuts or snacks containing nuts to school with your child. Thank you for your understanding.
