好厲害的TA哥哥姊姊，將會帶領小朋友一起學舞獅，好好玩喔！
記得這個禮拜五，提早一個小時到校！

8/19，「冰淇淋聯誼日」行程如下：

6:00 pm - 6:45 pm	冰淇淋聯誼， TA哥哥姊姊舞獅教學	戶外舞台區
7:10 pm - 7:50 pm	校長/家長會	A101 辦公室

Dear BVCS families and students,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year at Bay Valley Chinese School. Our second day of instruction is going to start with a bang this Friday! Yes, the Ice-cream Social is back! Yes, our in-person back-to-school night is back! It is a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to get to know our teacher assistants, teachers, and administrative staff in the outdoor courtyard, and find out what is in store in the classrooms for the upcoming school year.

Please note our Friday program below:

6:00 pm - 6:45 pm	Ice-cream Social	*Central quad near outdoor stage *Lion dance workshop with TAs
7:10 pm - 7:50 pm	Parents orientation meeting	Office A101 with the admin
8:30 pm - 8:50 pm	Teachers-parents' meetings	Homeroom with teachers

Want to know how to bring a lion to life, controlling its eyes, mouth, and ears?
Don't miss the opportunity to learn how to lion dance with our teacher assistants before or after you enjoy a scoop of ice cream!
Don’t forget to arrive at school an hour earlier this Friday!

2. In search a first-aid specialist to give a talk! 徵求急救講座主講人!
   Bay Valley Chinese School will conduct an emergency evacuation drill on September 30, 2022, and on the same day, the school would like to arrange training on first aid, which is open to all but will certainly be helpful for our staff and parent yard duties.
   Please contact Noya Lee, the principal, at BayValleyChineseSchool@yahoo.com as soon as possible if you are a specialist in first-aid or an acknowledged expert in the medical field.

3. In search of Monthly Yard Duty Leads! 徵求月度保安輪值召集人!
   This is one of the most rewarding jobs you can have at BVCS. Be an integral part of the school by enforcing safety for all the kids & adults. Shift-leader's responsibility is to coordinate, manage, & lead all facets of security for 1 month out of the year. We desperately need you to consider this position.

4. Up and coming: Parent Duty List for 2022-2023 本學年家長輪值表
   BVCS is a non-profit organization. In order to keep the tuition at an affordable level, all parents are expected to devote a certain number of hours of service to support the school operations. Due to the changes of the student headcount in the first two weeks, the parent duty list will be posted in the week of 8/26. Please stay tuned by checking your email or reading the postings on our website.
   
   
5. eNews Release schedule 灣谷通訊
   BVCS' eNews is scheduled to release every Wednesday and simultaneously posted on the school website. Please contact us if you have not received the email notification.

6. Parent & Student Handbook 家長學生守則
   Please abide by the rules and regulations stated in the Parent and Student Handbook. Respect the property right of Pine Valley Middle School. Any and all things in the classroom should not be used, moved, or tampered with. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the classroom. This Handbook can be viewed on our website under the "Resources" tab.
