"Well begun is half done." Online instruction, launched last Friday, was a great success. Students’ smiling faces and enthusiasm on screens reflected so much of their yearning for new learning materials and exciting challenges. Remote teaching is a breeze to our technologically experienced teachers, who welcomed and engaged students with entertaining songs and delightful dances. The familiar virtual platform is no longer a hurdle nor a barrier. The key to effective learning is diligence, which means revisiting and reviewing the materials over and over.

The Kiwanis-Danville Parade on September 4

Danville Parade

Our 20 years of history is defined not only by its mission to inspire students to a lifelong love of Chinese language and culture, but also by its active engagement in local community. The upcoming Kiwanis-Danville Parade, scheduled to take place on September 4, 2021 (Saturday) from 9 am to noon in downtown Danville, is an amazing opportunity for BVCS to shine its community spirit. Our school will lead a team to participate in the parade. All teachers, students, and families are highly encouraged to join. Please sign up at:

The parade theme this year is Honoring Our Healthcare Workers paying tribute to the countless professionals who dedicated their lives to serving others during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley has organized and conducted the annual Kiwanis 4th of July Parade in partnership with the Town of Danville since 1975. The parade attracts 30,000-40,000 spectators each year and is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate America's birth.
