2018 年 2 月 16 日晚上，本校於 Charlotte Wood Middle School 成功地舉辦了一年一度的春節聯歡晚會。為了迎接戊戌狗年，全校總動員，老師、同學、家長、義工等各施所長，精心編排及演出了喜慶吉祥的節目。表演中穿插了曉佩舞蹈學院的 春節序曲 、中西武術學校的中國功夫、及著名演奏家的柳琴二胡、鋼琴、三重奏；帶來一場視聽盛宴。中場還安排了貴賓們有加州議員 Catharine Baker ，丹維爾正副市長 Newell Arnerich & Robert Storer ，聖拉蒙學區教育委員會主席 Ken Mintz ，北加州中文學校聯合會正副會長施光庭和奚藻勳，曉佩舞蹈學院創辦人何曉佩等，一齊派發紅包。晚會在敘 舊迎新、美食甜點、歡聲笑語中劃下溫馨完美的句點。
Celebrating the Year of the Dog in 2018
For the 16th consecutive year, BVCS rang in the Chinese Lunar New Year with a colorful celebration in the evening of February 16 at Charlotte Wood Middle School. All students, teachers, parents, staff and volunteers were summoned to join in the organizing effort and share the preparation work. Students donned in red outfits took the stage and displayed the skills they learned in songs and dances that honored both traditional and contemporary elements of Chinese culture. Kicking the night up a notch were performances by the award-winning Xiaopei Chinese Dance, East-West Kung-Fu Schools, and the Liuqui-Erhu-Piano Ensemble.
Adding a further dose of excitement was the passing out of red envelopes by our honorable guests, California Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich, Danville Vice Mayor Robert Storer, President of the Board of San Ramon Valley Unified School District Ken Mintz, President of ANCCS Guang-Ting Shih, Vice President of ANCCS James Hsi, and Founder of Xiaopei Chinese Dance Xiaopei Gelb. The night of festivities ended in the midst of clapping, cheers and laughter, with the enthusiastic audience glowing with joyfulness.
*Please note, there is a CWMS Musical Performance this Friday at 7:00 PM. An additional parking lot near the basketball courts will be made available, but please be aware that there will be more cars than normal at the campus.
*BVCS office will be moved to room #404 due to the host school event on 2/23.
