  Chinese New Year Photo   This Friday, February 16th is the first day of the Lunar New Year. Let's have a celebration to welcome the Year of the Dogat BVCS and watch the performance run by our students. In addition, three more performance groups are invited to join our stage. They are Xiaopei Chinese Dance (曉佩舞蹈學院), Liuqin, Erhu & Piano Trio(柳琴、二胡、鋼琴三重奏), and East-West Kung Fu Schools (中西武術學院).

Don't miss your opportunity to take a photo or exchange New Year greetings with our honorable guests. Dignitaries attending our celebration this year include District 16, CA Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, Mayor of Danville, Newell Arnerich, Vice Mayor of Danville, Robert Storer, Board of Director of San Ramon Valley Unified School District, Ken Mintz, President of the Association of Northern California Chinese Schools, Guang-Ting Shih (施光庭), and founder of Xiaopei Chinese Dance, Xiaopei Gelb (何曉佩).

2018 Youth Leadership Conference at Stanford University
The Youth Leadership Conference on Asian and Pacific Islander Health at Stanford University is a four day conference led by the Asian Liver Center at the Stanford University School of Medicine. High school students come from all over the world to sharpen their leadership skills for effecting change in local, national, and global communities. For details, please click here.

2018 Youth English Teaching Volunteer Service Program in Taiwan is accepting application
海外華裔青年英語服務營開始接受申請

The program will be held from June 30 to July 28, 2018. There are 534 volunteer spots available this year including a Hakka group for 70 descendants of Hakka people. Volunteers will participate in training courses during the first week then teach English at one of various remote schools during the second and third weeks. The Hakka group will be specifically assigned to different schools located in Hakka culture-concentrated areas. A tour of various areas of Taiwan will be conducted during the last week.
